Large expanses of glass provide transparency and connect the library to the community.
Repeating tall windows align with the aisles and stacks of the collection area.
The public meeting rooms and coffee shop are identified in a one-story copper-clad form.
Discrete and ubiquitous, computerized searchable book listings are scattered throughout the library.
Rooms within rooms. Changes in ceiling height, lighting, and materials helps to create semi-private spaces within the library.
Plastic panels, decorative lighitng, and a metallic column surround create a stylized "tree of learning" in the children's area.
Easily updated custom signage and end panels unify the interior aesthetic.
Indirect lighting is oriented across the stacks to provide an even distribution of lighting in the aisles.
The coffee shop and outdoor seeting area help to animate the public entrance.
The on-site coffee shop operates independent of the library, and makes a great place to meet, eat, or read.
Large bay window seating areas provide individual "living room" spaces in the adult collection.
Stone benches and vertical light features create a progression to the entry walk and relate the site to the architecture.
