Polk County voters approved the $81M bond referendum to renovate the existing courthouse and expand the courts services to the former county jail and former Wellmark building. The referendum was approved by 67 percent of voters.

OPN Architects was recognized for their design of the Delta Dental of Iowa Headquarters in Johnston, Iowa. The new office building is highly-visible along Interstate 80/35 and is designed to be energy-efficient, flexible, and expandable.
