Two more join the OPN team

OPN continues its momentum of sustained growth with two new members of the OPN family — Chad Schumacher in the Cedar Rapids studio and Deidre Zihlman in the Des Moines studio.

Chad Schumacher joins OPN as a construction administrator. He earned his masters of science in education from Drake University and his bachelor of art in psychology from Coe College. His career  — including as an administrator at the Linn-Mar Community School District and project manager at Larson Construction overseeing  school district projects — has been entrenched in education. Schumacher resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with his wife, Lisa and his daughters, Allie and Jayden.

Deidre Zihlman joins OPN as a drafting specialist. She received her associate of applied science and engineering technology in 2001. She brings with her years of experience in BIM for multi-level healthcare facilities, office buildings, educational institutions, convention centers, churches and aircraft hangars. Zihlman also has experience in teaching as she has instructed several BIM training courses to engineers and technicians in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Ahmedabad, India.  Additionally, she has authored and performed several technical papers and presentations, including an IDDEA conference (AutoDesk Revit for Graphics and Design), an Iowa Engineering Society monthly meeting (BIM – An Overview), and a joint meeting of the Iowa Council of Engineering Companies and the Iowa Engineering Society (BIM – A Case Study of Two Different Types of BIM projects). In her free time Zihlman enjoys painting, gardening, and running.
