Robert Wheat

Prior to joining OPN Architects — and for 12 of his 20-plus years of experience — Robert was a founding partner and principal of his own firm in south-central Wisconsin. Throughout his career, Robert has worked on award-winning public projects such as Brodhead City Hall in Brodhead, Wisconsin, as well as acclaimed residential designs. His own house was included in a book featuring non-traditional residential design in 2005.  Robert is involved in the state and local levels of American Institute of Architects chapter, including stints as local officer, state board member, and chairing the state convention.

Q: What makes your studio unique?

A: In Madison we’re tight-knit, like a family. We definitely have one another’s back and truly enjoy spending time with each other outside the office.

 

Q: If you were a cake, which flavor would you be?

A: Lemon. I look mild, but have a zing
